SMALL GAME HUNTINGFlorida
has a wide variety of small-game hunting opportunities. Many people don't know that their local Wildlife
Management (WMA) and Public Small-Game Hunting Areas (PSGHA)
are excellent places to go small-game hunting. In an
effort to better inform the public of the best
small-game hunting opportunities, a survey of area
biologists was done. The biologists were asked to asses
the hunting outlook on their respective area (poor,
fair, good or excellent). The outlook was then combined
with harvest from the previous year and a table was
compiled. The tables, in the box below rank the best
small-game opportunities in a region and statewide.
