Fall Turkey Season

Fall Turkey Seasons: (WMAs can
differ)

South Zone Nov. 11 - Jan. 7.

Central Zone Nov. 11 - Jan. 7.

Northwest Zone Nov. 23 - 26 and Dec.
9 - Jan. 14.

Legal to Take: Bearded turkeys or
gobblers. There is no fall turkey season in Holmes
County.

Shooting Hours: One-half hour
before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.

Daily Bag and
Possession Limits:
-
Daily limit one, season and
possession limit two. Season limit includes turkeys
taken during archery, crossbow, muzzleloading gun
and fall turkey seasons.

Hunting Methods: All legal
firearms including bows, muzzleloading guns, crossbows
and handguns may be used.

Prohibitions:
-
Hunting turkeys in Holmes County.

Hunting turkeys with dogs.
-
Shooting turkeys while they are on
the roost.
-
Taking turkeys over baited areas.
-
Taking turkeys when hunter is within
100 yards of a game-feeding station.
-
Using centerfire, semi-automatic
rifles having magazine capacities of more than five
rounds.

Fully automatic or silencer-equipped firearms.
